Let’s say, for example, you have a website on dog training. You write a helpful article on how to get dogs to stop barking. In the resource box, of course you will link to your website, but in addition to this, you will mention that if people really want to train their dog the right way, they need to check out “whatever your product is you want to sell”. This way, when people read your article, you will know they are already at least a bit interested in dog training. Why not put a product right in front of their face that they would be likely to buy. Of course you will want to do all you can to sell the product to them. Don’t just mention it, but convince them why they absolutely need to buy it!
Heck, you could even write entire articles based on product reviews, and then have an affiliate link for the product you are recommending.
